Happy 250th birthday, America!

Today our neighborhood held its annual July 4th golf cart decorating contest.

My daughter took the lead on ours this year.

Her concept: a hot dog stand on wheels.

She and her friend dressed up as vendors, complete with the paper hats and aprons.

We took second place.

I’ve spent my career thinking about strategy and execution.

She just beat me at both with construction paper and balloons.

250 years of this country, and the best parts of it still look like this. Kids with big ideas. Neighbors showing up.

Proud of her. Grateful for this country.
